Dear user Capping is necessary after root canal treatment else there are chances of breakage of tooth and treatment of that tooth will also go waste

A cap is recommended for a root canal teeth as else they can break and besides if it is not capped it will not help you in chewing also. Restore the tooth with a filling if required and then do a crown. If the tooth is very small, a crown lengthning procedure can be done.
