Teeth becoming deformed

2016-09-29 18:20:03
Till my late twenties, my upper teeth used to look fine. I've attached a before and after photo. But in the last 3-4 years, my front 2 teeth have become a little deformed. One has gone in front, the other has moved back. As a result, it looks really bad. Can you tell me why this happens, and how can this be fixed?

Get x-ray done. This may be due to trauma or periodontis. Yes it can be fixed with both cosmetically  and  orthodontically.

An OPG is required to differentiate between pathological migration caused by periodontitis And/Or crowding caused by third molar eruption. In either case, your teeth can easily be aligned  back to original form & shape,  slowly & gradualy , with orthodontic (Braces) treatment.......Provided that the eitiology(Cause) must be removed/treated,,  to avoid any future relapse. If no history of trauma, then it is mere crowding due to force by third molars. It will be helpful if u post an Opg x ray. If it is crowding u need to get ortho treatment done along with extn of third molars

One of your tooth the left central looks like its undergone some trauma it has lost its color ..due to this the alignment may have changed . Another possibility could be eruption of third molars which happens between ages 18-25 due to lack of space slight movement of  teeth sometimes happens causing mal alignment of front teeth ... consult your dentist to figure out the definitive cause to avoid further movement

Change in position of teeth could be because of two reasons 1) trauma( fall or accident) causing the tooth to change position 2) aggressive peridontitis- a gum infection occurring at early age causing weekend bone support so as allowing teeth to drift from their normal position. A full mouth x ray may be needed bro confirm the diagnosis and treatment can be advocated accordingly.

As seen in picture, it seems you got trauma(accident) to teeth, Little color change also seen there, is dere any complaint of pain or sensitivity?? If yes, visit your dentist he will take your xrays & give you the best tretmnt options, and if No, your problem can solved by two ways, 1,braces to aligning teeth naturally 2,intentional crowns for proper  positioning. First is lengthy&natural second is short&artificial(crowns) Thanks for sharing Regards Dr Selukar Kishor
