Swollen ankle heel

Had an accident back in April, finally able to put my feet on ground and can walk. But my heel is still swollen with a bump and pains whenever I walk. Unable to understand what can reduce that swelling and will I ever be able to walk and run like earlier days. Heard a lot about cushion insoles but have no idea if I should try them or not. Please let me know what might have caused this and whether any hope is still left for any recovery

It's better for you to get your issue diagnosed first, before any specific advice can be given to you.
Next Steps
Get an orthopedic consultation with previous X-ray/MRI images if available. You can consult online as well for detailed evaluation.

The history/symptooms suggest more of tendoachilles injury which might make walking difficult especially lifting foot of the ground.
Next Steps
To show an orthopedic regarding the site of injury and further investigation. USG/MRI should be done to confirm the amount of injury(tear if present)
Health Tips
Avoid too much of stairs for sometime.
