Swelling in breast
4 months since delivery..since i have low milk supply and baby not sucking properly i usually express breastmilk manually n give by bottle..i do not get time to sterilize breast pump so i express manually several times a day in sterile container..yesterday i took lactare capsules..2 capsules and 2 fenugreek capsules..but due to some reason i cud not express the milk that often and empty breast..now i find that one portion of left breast hard and tender..nipple also tender..i tried expressing manually but tht area is still hard and its paining but milk not getting expressed from that area...its paining...what shall i do..
Is milk duct blocked...i feel engorged in one area only..is it due to tight innerwears..do i require medicine...can i clear it using pump...will usage of nursing bra help.

It seems you have breast engorgement. In this case, you should opt for you can use hot & cold fomentation.. This will soften your breasts and give relief from pain. You can follow up with your obstetrician for further care.

Your explanation tells that you are having engorgement of breast..that is because of inadequate milk expression
You need to express milk from the breast completely
To make engorged breast soft, you can use hot & cold fomentation..it will make breast softer and relieve pain..then you can empty your breast
Inability of emptying breast may cause breast abscess..in That case you may require antibiotics & rarely I n D of abscess..consult your doctor for same
