Supplements for osteoarthritis

My mother has osteoarthritis (varus knee deformity) since 15 years ,  she's stubborn about taking treatments as she's tried many.. she's been able to control her diabetes ,bp and cholesterol with diet and medication but knee pain has been a challenge I would like to know if you can suggest me a supplement for her cartilage ..I've heard glucosamine and type 2 collagen helps .. please help She's on rimoglipt and telinex at present

No use of glucosamines as of now if osteoarthritis is more than grade 2... can u put her knee xray if u had ?

Glucosamine and type 2 collagen have been shown to be beneficial upto grade 2 osteoarthritis only..That to these need to be taken for prolonged duration which won't be possible for u to convince for your mother.. Osteoarthritis with varus deformity is advanced stage for which the supplements are not going to have good results.. Unfortunately for this stage no supplements will help her grow new cartilage..

Glucosamine, collagen helps but up to some extent.. Life style modifications is required Avoid knee bending Avoid squatting and cross leg sitting Avoid sitting on ground Use western toilet
