Apply ice pack for 10 to 15 mins in 4 to 5 sessions per day.
Neck exercises should be done slowly and gently. Avoid pillow, instead of pillow use neck pillow or a towel roll under neck to support neck.
Find throwers ten exercise programme through Internet. Exercise programme can be done without any therabands and weights for 10 to 15 days, later start strengthening by using both therabands and weights. During the exercise programme there will a pain.. Slowly pain reduces. Apply ice pack, diclofenac gel, ultrasound therapy is beneficial consult a physiotherapist.
If still pain is there or it increases please consult a orthopaedic surgeon who did fellowship in sports medicine.
