Stress, sleeplessness

I am going through a tough time both in personal and professional life. I hardly get any sleep, always anxious and stressed. Actually I can't even remember a time when I had a proper sleep. From past couple of months I have noticed that I am forgetting small small things - names of people, movie name I have watched so many times, what I did on a particular day etc; I am not quite sure whom to consult. A psychiatrist or a psychologist? Sometimes I feel my head is about to explode and have a splitting head ache. Kindly advise, Thank you.

Your symptoms are suggestive of Depression. Consult a psychiatrist to start medication for the symptoms. A psychologist appointment can be taken later for counselling related to the tough times you are going through.
