I was bitten by a squirrel my cat brought in this morning. I wanted to know if I need to get a shot/treatment for anything.

Squirrels are very low-risk for rabies transmission — there are no documented cases of rabies transmission from squirrels to humans in most parts of the world. However, any animal bite can cause a bacterial infection and should be cleaned thoroughly. A tetanus injection is recommended if you are not up to date on vaccination.
