Hello
This is most likely a viral upper respiratory infection (common cold), which is very common in infants and young children.
Most viral infections are self-limiting and resolve in 3–5 days. A fever up to 101–102°F is common and not harmful in itself. If baby is active, feeding well, and passing urine normally — this is a good sign.
Next Steps
Fever care: Give paracetamol (acetaminophen) every 6 hours if fever >100.4°F and baby is uncomfortable. Use weight-based dose-I can tell you the dose if you let me know the baby’s weight
Nasal congestion: Use saline nasal drops every 3–4 hours + gentle suction if needed.
Hydration: Breastfeed frequently or ensure good fluid intake.
Room air: Keep room well-ventilated, not too cold or hot.
