Skin issues

Hello Doctor, I am experiencing persistent acne on my cheeks with small red pimples, bumps, and dark spots left after healing. The skin texture has become uneven and slightly rough over time. I also notice occasional new breakouts despite basic skincare. This issue has been ongoing for some time and is affecting my confidence. I would like guidance on the exact cause and an effective treatment plan to reduce active acne and clear the marks. Please suggest suitable medications, skincare routine, and any precautions I should follow. I have oily acne prone skin Thank you.

Acne or  pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Treatment depends on the grade of pimples or acne..So, please  send photos by direct online consultation as it's a must to see which grade of pimples or acne for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

• You have chronic mild–moderate acne with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots) and uneven texture • Oily skin with ongoing breakouts suggests active inflammation + clogged pores • The condition is treatable with a structured routine, but needs consistency Helpful Tips / Words of Caution: • Do not pick pimples → increases pigmentation • Strict sunscreen = key for clearing dark spots • Avoid heavy/oily cosmetics and frequent product changes • Results take 6–12 weeks, so be patient

Hi there Doc... Seems an open-shut case and you should be acne free and have a clear skin in around 6 months if you are willing to take a tab daily and work around some minor side effects like dry skin, lips etc and don't have any plans for conception during and for 2 months after stopping sid tabs. In addition, a LH:FSH ratio will help ascertain your PCOS status (if any) and once you get this done, do connect directly Online 📥 with some clear digital pics for an objective evaluation on this App's INSTANT ONLINE Consultation or use a Practo linked App like Apollo 24/7 where you can find me too. Best regards and Godspeed 🙏

Acne can have multiple causes behind it and can keep happening despite the basic skincare. The best way to deal with it is by going ahead with consultations where we can guide you according to your present skin condition.
