The only thing that may recur are the polyps, for which the only cure is immunotherapy after undergoing skin prick tests for identifying the allergens causing the allergy.
The correction of the nasal septal deviation along with polypectomy must also be done, to afford nasal breathing.
I usually give my patients one week high dose oral corticosteroid therapy about 2 weeks later, to clear out all the sinuses of the polyps. As the Sublingual Immunotherapy progresses, the recurrences of the polyps slows down and stops after about 3 years of immunotherapy. In the meanwhile you may need a few more courses of oral steroids to free up your nasal passages.

Oral steroids must be given only in rare circumstances as they have a lot of side effects if not done properly and I usually admit my patients for 4 days for monitoring when I do so.
