Hi. I have been taking metformin 500 for a couple of weeks now for weight loss as a pcos patient. And the side effects are getting worse. Headaches and nausea are in very regular occurrence and quite unbearable. Is there any alternative to metformin with not as much side effects as this itself? Or any other medicine specifically for weight concern in pcos patient. Thank you.

Metformin is the best drug. Side effect can be minimized by starting with a low dose 500 kg once a day and gradually increasing it, taking it after meals , taking SR preparations.
