Shoulder pain

2017-04-03 14:58:15
For the past 6 weeks (approx.) I have had shoulder aches and stiffness in my left shoulder. On occasion it will sort of crack if I lift my arm up over my head, but it isn't painful. I don't currently participate in any sports nor have I had any excessive use of my shoulders/arms. One morning I just woke up to the pain and it hasn't subsided. I sleep on my left side a lot, so that is, to my understanding, the only explanation as to why I could be having pain. I have a desk job so I have been taking it easy, haven't been working out my arms and have been taking anti-inflammatories. Any ideas on what possibly could've happened?

Dear Madam I can understand your concern. There are several conditions which could cause shoulder pain. A detailed clinical examination by an Orthopaedic Shoulder specialist is recommended.
