Dear Sir, Recurrent shoulder dislocation can be managed with a minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. However results are best in the hands of a shoulder Surgeon. However any decision cannot be taken without a detailed clinical examination.

When the shoulder dislocates frequently, it is quite often habitual. You need to avoid positions which dislocates the shoulder. The shoulder needs extensive and intense physiotherapy to help improve the stability. You will also need to have an MRI Scan with contrast I ejected into the joint to see if the joint or the cartilage has any areas of defects, which would be amenable to surgical stabilisation. Assessment by an Orthopaedic Surgeon is adviced. Dr Vinu Raj MBBS MRCS FRCS  (Trauma&Orth)
