Should Gemtide be used bone fracture

I am having compound  fracture (tibia & fibula) and on plates, rod and nails. Its been 6 weeks and xray shows slow healing. I was a smoker but left 6 weeks back only. Blood calcium is 9.88 mg/dl and pth intact is 19.20 pg/ml. Dr. advised Gemtide for 3 months for faster bone fracture healing. Should I use gemtide or wait for another month for normal callous formation in the fractured bone. Is there any side effects of using Gemtide. Is using Gemtide for a month make me start walking after a month?

Gemtide (Tereparatide) is not for fracture healing. It is for the treatment  of severe osteoporosis not responding to all other treatments. Study it on internet. lot of information is available.
