Been in horrible pain for the last two days. But the pain keeps recurring on a regular basis when I by chance carry something heavy or cut too many vegetables

Carpel tunnel syndrome is specific condition with some specific clinical and lab tests that help us diagnose this condition. However every wrist pain is not due to a carpel tunnel syndrome.
A diagnosis and treatment conclusion can be reached on after a detailed clinical examination by a orthopedic specialist.

As correctly said by Dr Ashwin it might not necessarily be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. There are other structures which may be affected and widely we have also seen people with neck or arm pain presenting with similar complaints expecially when there is nerve sensitivity developed.

carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) usually affects thumb index n middle fingers.. associated with numbness or paresthesia (altered sensation). Only pain might not be classical presentation.
