Screen time issue

Dr I have high myopia and progressive myopia having power -17D and -10.5D , my opthalmologist told me that screen time or near work activities ( reading , using digital devices ) only effects in childhood , it does not effect after 18 yrs of age , is that true or not

Not good for any age. May be your doctor has told that it will not lead to more glass power change at this age But dryness may occur So please believe on your treating doctor
