Hi my husband is having sarcoidosis since 1.5 yrs.. We have taken methylpred for 1 yr.. He is right now asymptomatic. I want to ask how we get to know that the disease is still exist or it is gone into remission. Does Chest xray Reveal it or it will still show lymphnodes enlargment and other markers even in remission stage. How will i know the recovery of my disease at early.

Clinically if no fever, cough, joint pains or other symptoms which were there in beginning. SACE levels will go down. Cxr and CT will show regression of lymph nodes.

In very rare occasion, it is self-remitting. Usually the lymph nodes remain enlarged. Recovery is difficult to predict, but some assessment may be made by doing Sace level test.
