Hello. When the cavity extends to the pulp of the tooth, a root canal procedure is done in order to treat the tooth. Root canal treatment can be done in a single appointment as well. Root canal treatment is done under the influence of local anesthesia. Hence will be a painless procedure. Do not worry. Root canal treatment must be followed by a crown placement. Kindly visit a dentist for definitive diagnosis and treatment

During root canal treatment we do remove all infected tissue from the root canal and then complete disinfection of it is been done using small needle like instrument and disinfecting solutions, then root canal space is filled with gutta percha material to seal the opening of root canal. Hello Basically, a tooth has three layers. When the cavity extends the innermost layer, it leads to pain and that is when root canal treatment is required. It is a procedure done under local anaesthesia. Earlier it used to take multiple sittings, but now it has become a single sitting procedure. It is a very normal dental procedure so you do not have to worry or get scared about it
