My dad is 63. He had his bypass surgery a year ago.. Now he is having tooth pain... After diagnosis doctor suggested to have root canal . Is it safe for him?

Root canal is generally safe and if he is having pain and swelling than there might be no need of local anaesthesia for the procedure. But if local anaesthesia is required at some point plain lignocaine without adrenaline can be used in limit if he is not allergic to it.
