Is it important to get a cap fitted on your tooth after a root canal? Or only the filling of tooth is fine..

Yes it's very important to immediately fix a cap on the RCT treated tooth or else the tooth will fracture.

Mostly for posterior teeth ( back teeth like molars and premolars ) it is ideal to crown ( cap ) the tooth if cuspal damage is there For front teeth an case to case review works whether a cap is reqd or not
