With -5D myopia what are the chances of retinal detachment? And what should I do to avoid it? Plz help

Detachment can happen only if there is a retinal hole. Please get a dilated retinal examination with you local ophthalmologist annually ,to rule out retinal holes

Pl have regular Fundus examination. If you have flashes in the eye,pl consult ophthalmologist. Pl do not do sternuous exercises. The risk of Rd, in your case is low.pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.
