In your case ma'am the primary care would be thoroughly washing the contact site  with soap for 15 minutes under running tap water and  apply povidone iodine solution on the site and clean it. If u find even any minor scratches better to get Anti rabies vaccine as soon as possible to be on a safer side. However  if no scratches or bleeding  vaccination wouldn't be required. If deep sratches are present must start antibiotic otherwise not required.
Next Steps
Carefully check for any minor scratches if present get ARV immediately

Hello Ma’am, If there are no scratches or bite marks on your leg, then you don’t need to worry. Washing the area with soap and water was the right step. Normally, medical attention is required only if there is a visible scratch, bite, or bleeding on the skin. Very superficial contact without a break in the skin does not pose any risk. If you ever notice even a small scratch where the skin is broken, especially from an unknown puppy, then it’s safer to consult a doctor for proper advice. I hope it helps you. The important factor to note is that, if there’s any bleeding after getting scratches, is there any tissue loss, did the puppy lick your legetc If none of the above has happened then nothing to worry about Although if at all any scratches/ coming in contact with dog saliva- you need to get IDRV + Inj TT if not vaccinated no previous PEP at all If bleeding presents from scratch site- IDRV+ ERIG/HRIG and inj TT
Next Steps
Wash the area with soap and water
Health Tips
Observe the puppy for a few days Be careful next time

Since you checked carefully and there is no scratch or bite mark, and you already washed with soap and water, you don’t need any treatment right now. Rabies risk comes only if the skin is broken. Very superficial touch without skin break is not risky.
Next Steps
For now, you are safe. Just observe the puppy for 10 days if possible . if it remains healthy, that’s further reassurance.
Health Tips
If at any time you notice even a small scratch, broken skin, or bleeding, then you should visit a doctor for assessment of anti-rabies vaccination.

Even if it is a mild scratch, it is better to consult a doctor once in person so they can examine your leg.

Since you have no scratches, there is nothing to worry as of now. The only treatment in this case is wash it with soap and water thoroughly. You need to have vaccination only if you have scratches and bleeding.

If there are no scratches, no need to worry. Although if even minor nail marks, scratches are seen on the site, a course of ARV is mandatory. If still confused about your case, no harm in visiting your local government PHC/ Clinics. To avoid the hassle, can also take an online consultation with any General physician. Take care.
