Till when Rabipur will protect dog/cat bite/scratches I mean when I should worry about taking booster shot ? (How long after vaccination)

If you have taken full course of Antirabies vaccine then you have to take one dose of vaccine if you are bitten by a dog within one year, you have to take 3 doses if you are bitten by a dog within 1-5 years. You have to take full course if you are bitten by a dog after 5 years.
