💉 Intradermal Vaccine Rubbing Concern 👋 Hello! Thank you for your message. Rubbing the site after an intradermal vaccine (like anti-rabies) is generally not advised as it can affect absorption and effectiveness.
Next Steps
• Continue the remaining dose as scheduled.
Health Tips
✅ Please avoid touching/rubbing the site again. Monitor for signs like increased swelling, redness, or pus. If the wheal (bleb) didn’t form or the vaccine leaked, please consult — a repeat dose might be needed. 🙏 Stay safe and feel free to follow up!

Rubbing on site is not advisable. ARV are for intradermal. So the vaccine is firmulated for slow release. Here your exposure is less harm why only 2 injection taken. So no need of worry

You mentioned taking intradermal rabies vaccines on day 0 and 3, and that the nurse rubbed the injection site each time. It's true that intradermal injections are usually not meant to be pressed or rubbed, as it can reduce the vaccine’s local absorption. However, rubbing briefly once or twice may not completely stop the vaccine from working. Protection still depends on the dose, schedule, and your immune response. 👉 For full peace of mind and next steps, I recommend you consult me directly here: https://www.practo.com/rewa/doctor/amit-kumar-patel-generalphysician
