Rabies dog bite

2024-03-08 12:45:12
Dear Sir/ ma'am Three days ago, my mother was bitten by a dog, and the bite was classified as grade 3. Today, while dressing her wound with normal saline and betadine, I used a 10 ml syringe to wash the wound with normal saline. When I pushed the syringe forcefully, normal saline sprayed out onto the wound. Due to the vigorous push, many drops of normal saline splashed back into my eye from the  inflected wound where dog bite occurred. I am concerned; could I contract rabies? Will I suffer from rabies? Do I need to take arv ? Please reply as per your convenience sir I m just worried sir Thank you sir

Rabies don't have cure, Remember this.  You need proper advice and I need little history,  when your mother recieved Rabisheild vaccine also known as immunoglobulin which is only given in Grade 3. This is the highest grade in rabies issue.  I need more details to ensure u in a safe zone.  Dont take it easy.  Rabies have 100% mortality cases all the time.
