Abhrak Bhasma is a classical Ayurvedic preparation traditionally used as a Rasayana (rejuvenative) and is often prescribed to support strength, vitality, digestion, respiratory health, and overall tissue nourishment. In Ayurvedic practice, it is commonly used in conditions associated with weakness, fatigue, poor digestion, reduced stamina, and recovery from chronic illnesses. When prescribed appropriately by a qualified Ayurvedic physician and used in the recommended dosage, Abhrak Bhasma is generally intended to support the body's strength and metabolic functions rather than produce excessive heat. In fact, it is often combined with suitable adjuvants (Anupana), such as Mulethi (Yashtimadhu), to match the patient's condition and constitution. Since your doctor has specifically advised this combination for hyperacidity and weakness, the prescription has likely been tailored to your individual needs.
Next Steps
Since you have mentioned that your Prakriti is predominantly Vata and that you are sensitive to medicines that feel heating in nature, it would be best to continue the treatment exactly as advised and monitor how you feel after taking it. If you notice any discomfort, increased burning sensation, digestive upset, or any symptoms that concern you, discuss them with your prescribing physician so that the formulation, dosage, or adjuvant can be reviewed. Avoid making changes to the prescription on your own. If you would like a detailed Ayurvedic assessment of your constitution, digestive health, and current symptoms, you may contact us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5 for personalized guidance and treatment recommendations.
Health Tips
For hyperacidity, focus on maintaining regular meal timings, avoiding overeating, eating calmly, and minimizing foods that you personally find aggravating. Adequate sleep, stress management, and proper hydration are also important for digestive balance. From an Ayurvedic perspective, supporting healthy digestion and addressing the root cause of weakness often yields better long-term results than focusing on symptoms alone. Following your physician's dietary and lifestyle advice alongside the prescribed treatment can help improve both digestive comfort and overall energy levels. Thank you

Abhrak Bhasma is traditionally used in Ayurveda as a Rasayana (rejuvenative) medicine and is often prescribed for weakness, fatigue, respiratory disorders, and digestive complaints. When prepared properly and taken in the prescribed dose under the supervision of a qualified Ayurvedic physician, it is generally considered safe. It is not typically regarded as a highly 'hot' medicine. In your case, your doctor may have prescribed it to address weakness and support overall health along with Mulethi for hyperacidity.
Next Steps
If you experience any new symptoms such as worsening acidity, abdominal discomfort, or intolerance after starting the medication, consult your treating physician for reassessment.
