Travel is generally safe for a 6-month-old infant if:
• Baby is healthy, gaining weight well, and has no active infections.
•All routine immunizations are up to date for age.
• Travel essentials (feeding supplies, clothes, meds, etc.) are well planned.
•Avoid crowded indoor places and maintain hygiene during flights.
Typhoid vaccine
•It is best to wait until completion of 6 months for optimal response and regulatory validity.
Influenza vaccine:
•Can be given from 6 months of age (as per IAP and CDC).
•Since your baby was born at 35 weeks, they are technically late preterm.
•Still, give at 6 months of chronological age, not corrected age.
