Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT. Based on your description, the white spots and patches in the throat and under the tongue could be due to several possible conditions: 1. Oral Candidiasis 2. Pharyngitis / Tonsillitis 3. Leukoplakia 4. Aphthous / Traumatic Ulcers 5. Lichen Planus
Next Steps
• Oral cavity examination by ENT specialist. • Throat swab for KOH mount (to rule out fungal infection). • Complete blood count (CBC). • Blood sugar levels (if diabetes suspected). • Biopsy if white patches are persistent & non-scrapable (to rule out premalignant conditions).
