Puffiness under one eye

2025-05-04 06:47:24
Hi, I’ve noticed slight puffiness under my left eye since I woke up yesterday. There is no pain, redness, or tenderness—just visible swelling below the eye. What should my next steps be? Are there any home remedies I can try, or should I consult my physician immediately? Thanks,

How many hours did you sleep before this puffiness appeared? Any injury to eye? Any Crying episode a day before? Any urine complaints? For now you can do cold fomentation & rest ( avoid screen time) & see if the puffiness decreases. If there are other complaints & puffiness is increasing or causing any pain then you should consult a physician immediately.

Hi, What you are describing is possible if something fell into your eyes, if you slept on one side and applied pressure to your eyes without realising it or if you rubbed your eyes repeatedly for any reason Don't need to visit anyone urgently. Give 1-2 days and see how it settles. If you develop any symptoms, consult an eye doctor ( ophthalmologist)
