I have Proforated Ear Drum for a year and due to tha there is hearing loss. one doctor suggeted for surgery but want to know for this there will open surgery or any other surgery through ear canal. The cost of surgery. Its painful or painless surgery

Surgery can be done either using a microscope or endoscope. You will need to undergo a pune tone audiometry for the type and severity of hearing loss. Surgery can be done both under General/ local anesthesia. Cost will depend on the setup and experience of the doctor, severity of hearing loss.
