Hello Doctor, I have a pelvic ultrasound scheduled for evaluation of irregular periods and possible PCOS. My last  intercourse was on 25 April. I had a serum beta-hCG blood test on 10 June, and the result was <0.10 mIU/mL (negative). I am very anxious and have one question. If there were an ongoing pregnancy from that encounter, would it be visible on a pelvic ultrasound at this stage, and would it be mentioned in the ultrasound report? Or is the negative beta-hCG already sufficient to rule it out? Thank you, Doctor.
