Postpartum BP
I had c section delivery 5 months back.1 week after delivery I had high BP,my gyno gave BP medicine and asked me to continue for 6 weeks. At 10 weeks I had whole body numbness , extreme fatigue and palpitations.Consulted general physician he checked my BP ,it was high and asked me take BP medicine again.Consulted neurologist for body numbness and anxiety.He suggested some blood and urine test,brain MRI and 2D echo,all reports were normal.he gave medicine for that and asked me to continue BP medicine.My BP is normal from past 2 months,Consulted neurologist again if I can stop BP medicine,he says My BP is chronic now and I need to continue medicine lifelong.
I never had high BP before , does postpartum BP doesn't subside.
Kindly suggest.

Chronic hypertension can be stay lifelong after delivery in many patients.
U shall follow the advices of your consulting Physician.
Keep every 6 months follow up with them and follow dietary advice and some exercises by him.
It can stay on lower dose. Overthinking and all these affect your blood pressure. So do some relaxation and breathing techniques.
