Post and core crown life

2019-04-23 10:44:34
How much can I expect my post and core crown to last on upper central incisors? (Incisors have 3-4mm of tooth structure left above gum line)? Will post and core eventually result in tooth extraction?

Hello sir.. A properly built post and core will last for fifteen years for front teeth....if proper precaution like not biting in front teeth should be taken to increase the lifespan of post and core...

Tooth structure is 3-4 mm, so along with post and core, tooth lenghthning by teeth preparation below gingival margin also work. Generally it has life of 10 - 15 year.
