At 38 plus gestational week my AFI was found to marginally increased to 22.5cm. Will it affect my baby? Is there a chance of complication for the baby? Does it indicate any abnormalities in the baby. M worried.

If the level two ultrasound is normal the increased Afi will not affect the baby To rule   out abnormalities in the baby a level two ultrasound is done after 18 weeks If that is normal there would be no abnormalities in the baby the marginally increased Afi could be because of deranged sugars Get your sugar levels checked

Please consult with a Gynaecologist in his clinic or Nursing home. Apparently you have not got yourself checked up regularly during your pregnancy and the result is that you suddenly land up with a diagnosis of Hydramnios at 38 weeks. Please consult with a Gynaecologist now , before you have to go to a hospital in the middle of the night with a complication .
