Hello, I am Dr Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me.
I have carefully reviewed both your
lipid profile and
liver function test. Since you consumed alcohol the night before the test, some values may appear temporarily elevated. Still, a few findings need attention.
Advices
1 Avoid alcohol completely for at least ten to fourteen days and then repeat the liver tests for accurate assessment.
2 Increase daily water intake and follow a light diet with fruits and home cooked meals to reduce liver load.
3 Include regular walking for twenty to thirty minutes which helps both liver recovery and cholesterol control.
What to Monitor
1 Any yellowing of eyes or dark urine.
2 Persistent fatigue or nausea after meals.
3 Pain or heaviness in the right upper abdomen.
Management
Your
triglycerides are mildly high and your bilirubin levels are elevated, most likely due to alcohol intake before the test.
You may start a simple liver supportive syrup or tablet containing silymarin to help recovery. For cholesterol, lifestyle modification is the first step.
If repeat tests after alcohol free days still show abnormalities, then we may consider a proper treatment plan for fatty liver or dyslipidemia. I can guide you with the exact medicines and doses after understanding your routine, diet pattern and alcohol consumption in detail.
When to Consult a Doctor Immediately
1 Severe abdominal pain.
2 Vomiting with yellow discoloration of skin.
3 Very dark urine or inability to eat.
Every patientâs situation is unique. For accurate diagnosis and lasting relief, it is important to discuss your symptoms, alcohol pattern and medical history in detail.
