Placenta  is anterior low lying

Currently i am 16 weeks pregnant with IVF conception.  In my todays reports it says as placenta anterior low lying reaching internal os . I had my cervical stitch done at 13th weeks as precaution due to my previous history of 2nd trimester pregnancy loss at 22 weeks . Kindly let me know is low laying placenta at 16weeks leads to pregnancy loss

Low lying placenta detected at 16 weeks should not be a cause for concern. As the pregnancy grows, it may not be low lying any more. Please get a repeat sonography done at 20 weeks.

Low lying placenta usually migrate upwards in 9O% of cases. You need a repeat scan at 20 weeks to check again.

A low lying  placenta can only lead to pregnancy loss if you bleed profusely

It can migrate upwards as pregnancy advances.. but you need to take precautions as it can lead to bleeding ler vagina

It does not lead to pregnancy loss but chances of bleeding are more. It generally moves upwards as the pregnancy advances.
