Patient has malaria

Patient has malaria and on day 3 the platelets have gone down to 62K. Fever and all is gone but weakness persists. Should the patient get checked again on day 4?

Yes. Your patient may be having Dengue. Please repeat platelet count every other day. His BP should be checked. He should maintain his hydration and take nutritious food. He should never take Disprin or Brufen. Please consult a General Physician on Practo for further management.
