Greetings baby's scalp shows a dry, white, and flaking area that resembles infantile seborrheic dermatitis, commonly known as cradle cap, or a localized fungal skin infection. Please double-check the baby's actual scalp in person to confirm if the scales appear greasy, flaky, or dry. If it is cradle cap, it is common after head-shaving ceremonies, completely harmless, and often heals on its own over a few weeks. To manage this, you can gently massage a few drops of coconut oil onto the white patches for 15 minutes to loosen the flakes before washing. After oiling, wash the scalp thoroughly using a mild, fragrance-free baby shampoo while lightly brushing away loosened crusts with a soft baby brush. If the white patches become red, swollen, begin to leak fluid, or do not improve with gentle cleaning,

Hello, The picture is not very clear, but the reassuring part is that there appears to be hair growing through the lighter patch. If this were a fungal infection, it is usually associated with broken hairs, scaling, or hair loss, which are not evident in the image. This could be hypopigmentation following a previous rash or a congenital birthmark that has become more noticeable after the tonsure. For now, continue using the same shampoo or scalp wash that you have been using. Observe the patch over the next few weeks. If you notice hair loss, broken hair strands, scaling, redness, or an increase in the size of the patch, consult your paediatrician for a direct examination.
