Dear Patient, Experiencing persistent left-sided abdominal pain accompanied by left thigh discomfort over the past two months is concerning, especially with a history of kidney stones. While kidney stones can cause pain in the lower abdomen and groin, they typically present with sudden, severe pain that comes and goes, often radiating from the back to the groin. NHS The combination of abdominal and thigh pain may also suggest other conditions, such as: Hernias: Specifically, an obturator hernia can cause pain in the lower abdomen and inner thigh. MED PARK HOSPITAL Musculoskeletal Issues: Strains or injuries to muscles or ligaments in the abdominal or thigh regions. Nerve Impingement: Compression or irritation of nerves supplying the abdominal and thigh areas. Given the duration and nature of your symptoms, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. A visit to a gastroenterologist or a urologist would be appropriate to assess for any gastrointestinal or urinary tract issues, including potential kidney stones. They may recommend imaging studies, such as an ultrasound or CT scan, to identify the cause of your symptoms.
