Kindly do not ignore the pain as it may either be innocuous or a harbinger of severe problem. What you might require is proper Rehab exercise to train your knee to work well. Please get yourself examined and assessed by a competent physician or Ortho surgeon to rule out significant issue and if all are OK then a good physiotherapist will be able to set you right.
