Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to break through the gums. They may emerge at an awkward angle, or there may not be enough room for them. Wisdom teeth can take up to three - four months to fully emerge from your gum line. But not all wisdom teeth come in at once, so you may experience some of these symptoms on and off in varying degrees for some time. Though not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, it is recommended that young adults have their wisdom teeth X-rayed and monitored. When wisdom teeth become impacted, they need to be removed to provide long-term relief.
