if everything was ok before the screw created pain, its good the screw to be removed. Best is to consult the orthopedic surgeon.

Need to review the xray of knee joint . So please do x ray of knee joint and consult with orthopaedic surgeon.

I would advise you to meet an orthopedician so that you can be examined and undergo investigations such as X-Ray, etc. to find the underlying problem and have it treated accordingly. Ideally you should've had your screws removed long ago and your current situation has to be evaluated to decide on removal. If the condition persist or worsens visit the orthopedician at the earliest

In the first place , if the fracture is healed then you must have removed the screw long ago. secondly please make sure your are not confusing screw with K-wires. Logically if the Screw is of Appropriate size then there should not be any Pain as such . But if you feel that the cause is screw only. get yourself an X-ray done and rule out the problem.
