From your question I understand that both these pain started at the same/similar time. If there is no recent fall or accident..it maybe postural tension. If u r sitting for prolong hours, Ur hips are flexed so Ur hip flexor psoas muscle may become tight and also Ur quads muscles. Thus nerve passing through these muscles maybe tense too. Which can gv u these symptoms. If u feel slight pins or needle like pain at Ur front thigh it is Bez of femoral nerve tension... Things u can do 1. Avoid constipation 2. Lie on Ur stomach and slowly bend n straighten one knee at a time for 4-6 reps...do not hold 3. Do deep breathing exercises to relax abdominal fascia 4. U can use ice or hot depending on Ur pain is acute or chronic respectively

Most probably it can be because of thightness in hip flexors if you are sitting on your sofa or chair for a longer time. Your knee pain along with it suggests this kind of pain. But always better to show it to your physio and then take help. If you want I might be able to help you remotely if I get to know the painful movements. If possible contact.
Next Steps
Try lying on tummy for 15 minutes and keep bending both of your knees alternately. Do this for at least 3-5 times in a day.
Health Tips
Please take help before you try to do anything to stay on safer side.

Before going to the treatment it's important to find out the root cause for your pain. How long do you have this pain? Onset of pain was gradual or sudden? Both lower abdomen and knee pain started at the same time? Does the pain radiates from back to left lower abdomen? Does the pain radiates from lower abdomen to knee? Did you do any strenous exercise or weight lifting?
Next Steps
You can give hot water fomentation to your lower abdomen and knee. You can apply Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. If the pain is because of spasm it will subside with this and rest.
Health Tips
Avoid strenous activities and weight lifting. For further evaluation and treatment you need to consult a Physician or Physiotherapist or Orthopaedist.
