Pain after RCT

I got a root canal done in 2014. There was no pain all this while however, recently the particular tooth hurts when I tap it with a finger. The pain is there for 2-3 days and then is gone. Again no pain for 10-15 days but after that the pain is back again and goes in 2-3 days. It's a continuous cycle. Please suggest what to do? Also, kindly suggest a painkiller for tooth ache. Is Zeredol SP a good option?

Over the counter drugs may cause drug allergy if you are allergic to this drug. Could be due to improper RCT.
Next Steps
Consult an endodontist.

Get an X-ray done to check that tooth. Has that tooth been capped?Root canal two red to be capped else they may fracture. Consult a dentist to check your tooth. Painkillers will only suppress the pain for sometime and should not be used unless your doctor prescribes it
