Issue seems to be underlying depression. Though I need to probe further into it to arrive at any conclusion. Your past negative experiences have to be provided closure and healthy outlet of emotions for dreams to stop and breakdown to reduce.
You can take online therapy session and get to the roots to it. Modify your beliefs and negative thought patterns and live a good healthy lifestyle.
