Hello doctors The new born was having mild meconium aspirated syndrome 7 days ago and he has come out and doing very well now.All other activities of baby is very good.But when new born screening test is given we see CF as abnormal .Even in repeat also we see this.I am really scared about it. The report showing IRT is 78 which should be under 65.

Please consult a genetic specialist or senior pediatrician. IRT looks only a little high. In clear cut cases it is double or more of normal. The screening tests are not very accurate. Many times confirmation tests come normal later.
