My daughter is 8 days old.Her bilirubin level is 15.3. Does she  require phototherapy in the hospital?

Criteria for phototherapy differs on the risk group This value is slightly higher for a baby with blood group incompatibility or a preterm baby For a term baby who is exclusively breastfed , its normal

Get blood group of the baby done and if palms and soles appear yellow , repeat total bilirubin levels will help know the trend of rise/fall Ensure adequate breastfeeds till then Thanks

Hello madam Thank u for consulting Plz mention u r blood group and baby blood group As u mentioned value if 15.3 is little higher for 8 days old baby It’s better to keep under phototherapy for 1 day and repeat after 24 hrs Mean while plz check tsh level of baby too
