Firstly, it's important to know your age and the duration of the problem and has it been increasing or is irregular mostly. If it's progressing then please get yourself checked up thoroughly. Visiting a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist would help you to understand the causes and the treatment options.

I understand that you're going through a challenging time, and it's commendable that you're seeking guidance. Forgetfulness and feeling overwhelmed can be caused by various factors, including stress and anxiety. Firstly, try to prioritize tasks and create a to-do list to help you stay organized. Break down larger tasks into smaller, more manageable steps. Additionally, consider incorporating stress-reducing activities into your routine. This could include mindfulness exercises, deep breathing, or short breaks during work hours to relax and refocus.
