I am 21 year old male weighing 61 kgs and height 5'7'', vegetarian (no eggs) looking for muscle gains exercising 2-4 times a week. Should I consider taking whey protein shake for it? How frequently should I take it?

Whey protein is require at a later stage of body building. In beginning focus on plant sources like legumes, tofu, paneer.  After a few years of training you can consider supplements.
